Artists from around the world enter the championship stage
Competitors must be at least 18 and have relevant training or experience. Licensing or certification must be current where the competitor’s category or jurisdiction requires it.
Each competitor may enter a maximum of two U.S. categories.
Online entries will be submitted securely and judged anonymously. The five highest-scoring competitors in each category advance to its California final based on placement, without a separate minimum-score cutoff for this step. Nine categories use supervised latex online; the combined Henna / Dye / Lamination category uses Zoom-supervised live-model work.
At the California final, categories with at least five paid competitors may award first, second and third place and qualify eligible finishers to represent the United States in the Netherlands. Advancement requires the minimum score as well as placement; the score threshold and official scoring rules are still to be published.
If a category has fewer than five paid competitors, only its highest-scoring eligible competitor may receive an award and advancement opportunity, subject to the required minimum score.
The California final date is confirmed for March 6, 2027; the specific venue in Newport Beach is still to be announced. Anyone who registers before the official event date and venue are both announced may request a full registration-fee refund or an approved transfer to another eligible competitor within seven calendar days after the specific venue is announced. This window has not started. After that window, the fee is non-refundable except if Browista cancels the event. Eligible-competitor transfers remain subject to written approval and the standard 30-day pre-event deadline outside this early window.
Whether you are ready to enter or still deciding which category fits your skills, you have a place to begin. Discover the process, choose your next step, and give your artistry something meaningful to work toward.
